Karnataka CM Announces 3-week Mid-term Break As COVID Cases Rise
Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa announced that schools in the state will go for a three-week mid-term break from October 12-30. The order came after several teachers and students tested positive for COVID-19 in the state. Reportedly, the Vidyagama program, under which teachers visit the areas of public school students to teach them, will also be halted. Earlier, the CM was criticised for cancelling the scheduled mid-term break.
