Karnataka Govt Allows Cremation Of COVID-19 Victims On Private Lands
The Karnataka government on April 21 allowed the cremation of COVID-19 victims on private lands, which are owned by the family members and relatives of the deceased. However, the government has strictly mandated that the transporters should wear surgical masks and aprons, and the dead bodies should be transported in a dignified and hygienic manner. Further, for inter-district and inter-state transport, a death certificate should be produced.
