Karnataka Govt Caps Private Schools' Tuition Fees To 70% For 2021
The Karnataka government on January 29 waived off the development and library fee charged by private schools, allowing students to pay only 70% of the tuition fee. The decision came after protests by parents’ association demanding fee limit amid the pandemic. Karnataka Education Minister S. Suresh Kumar ordered that the waiver will apply to all private schools irrespective of boards. Moreover, state and district level committees will be created to check overcharging by the schools.
