Karnataka, Tamil Nadu List Journalists As Frontline Workers
Karnataka and Tamil Nadu on May 4 became the new entrants to declare journalists as frontline workers. Karnataka CM Yediyurappa said, "Our government has decided to consider journalists as frontline workers and accord priority in vaccination against COVID-19." Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu's soon-to-be CM MK Stalin echoed the same sentiments. Six states - West Bengal, Punjab, Bihar, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand - have already declared journalists as frontline workers.
