Karnataka Transport Dept Bans Ola, Uber, Rapido Auto-Rickshaw Services
Ola, Uber and Rapido have been barred from providing auto-rickshaw services in Bengaluru. The Karnataka Transport Department, issued a notice to 3 companies, asking to stop their rickshaw operations within three days. The decision came after commuters complained about the companies overcharging them even for short distances like 2-km, costing Rs 100. However, the cab services of Ola, Uber and Rapido will continue as usual, and ban is for auto-rickshaws.
