Kerala: Gender Park Ready For ICGE-II In Collab With UN Women

To find solutions related to gender and sustainable development, Kerala's Gender Park will host its second edition of the International Conference on Gender Equality (ICGE) in Kozhikode. Starting February 11-13, the event is conducted in collaboration with the UN Women. Interestingly, ICGE-ii is the state's first-ever fully carbon-neutral event that complies with Gender Park's global sustainable development agenda. As per the official statement, the conference aims to provide a stage to dialogues and discussions over gender empowerment's role in sustainable entrepreneurship and social businesses. Moreover, ICGE-II would offer globally reputed experts an opportunity to share their knowledge on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and issues of women's participation in social business. To be chaired by Kerala Women Empowerment Minister KK Shailaja Teacher, the event would witness prominent personalities, including Massachusettes University's Dr Jayati Ghosh and Transgender activist-artist Kalki Subramaniam among others. Besides, the Gender Park plans to draft a gender-inclusive policy framework to align with the UNSDG targets under its resolve to create carbon-neutral Kerala.
