K'taka Announces Financial Aid Of Rs 1,250Cr To Lessen Lockdown Pain
The Karnataka government on May 19 announced a financial aid of Rs 1,250 crore for the people in trouble due to COVID-19 lockdown. The scheme will provide Rs 3000 as one time compensation to the auto, taxi and maxicab drivers as well as to the construction workers and artists in the state. Besides, street vendors and workers such as barbers, tailors, mechanics and others will also receive Rs 2,000 each.
