Kunal Kamra Calls Supreme Court As "Supreme Joke"; Set To Face Contempt Case
Stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra is set to face contempt of court charges for his tweets, in which he called the Supreme Court as a "supreme joke". Attorney General KK Venugopal stated Kunal had "crossed the line", and allowed initiation of legal proceedings against the comedian. Venugopal said, "This is a gross insinuation against the entirety of the Supreme Court of India." Kunal has tweeted against the apex court in connection with Arnab Goswami's bail case.
