Law Ministry's Litigation Tele-Consultation Service Faces COVID Queries
The Law ministry’s tele-consultation service started to offer pre-litigation legal advice to rural residents is now bombarded with COVID and lockdown related queries. There were beneficiaries calling to seek help against discrimination against health workers and their families, concession of electricity bill, etc. Notably, there were also concerns of police brutality and power abuse. The Department of Justice said complains on violence against women were also reported.
