Lawmaker Passes Bill To Make Diwali Federal Holiday In US

American lawmaker has introduced a bill in the US Congress, asking to make Diwali, a federal holiday in the states.  He mentioned that the festival of lights, a federal holiday, should be a federal holiday, a move welcomed by different communities from across the country. Congresswoman Grace Meng addressed the media after introducing the bill in the House of Representatives, which if passed makes Diwali a federal holiday in US.
