Lockdown Makes Potato and Tomato Equally Expensive as Onion

The Department of Consumer Affairs' states that, all-India retail prices of potato and tomato have risen. As per the prices on July 20, potato and tomato costs Rs 30 and Rs 50 per Kg, respectively. Meanwhile the price of onion has gone down from Rs 30 to Rs 20 per Kg. It is believed that the increase in costs are due to lower production.
