Lucknow's NRBI Scientists Develops Chemical Free Food Colours
The scientists of the National Botanical Research Institute in Lucknow successfully developed unique herbal food colours using waste material such as onion peel, marigold, hyacinth, etc. Scientist Mahesh Pal said the government of India had requested them in 2018 to 'make inexpensive and safe food colours'. He also said we didn't use ''metals like lead, copper, and zinc''. Reportedly, it'll soon be launched in the market.
