Magnus Carlsen, Wesley So Shares St. Louis Rapid and Blitz Chess Title

Norway's Magnus Carlsen and Phillipine's Wesley So shared the St. Louis Rapid and Blitz title on September 20 after scoring a tie of 24 points. Both Grandmasters received a cash prize of $45,000 each. The World champion ranked first in the Blitz category while So stood first in the rapid category. The 10-player grandmasters' tournament was held online by The St. Louis Chess Club from September 15 to 19, 2020.
