Maha Govt Names Asha Bhosle For State's Top Honour 'Maharashtra Bhushan'

The Maharashtra government has announced to recognize singer Asha Bhosle with the state’s highest honour 'Maharashtra Bhushan’ for the year 2020. Started in 1996, the award carrying Rs 10 lakh cash and citation recognises achievement in various fields. Expressing gratitude, Asha said, "I thank him that he thought of choosing me for the award." Notably, the 87-year-old two-time National awardee, eight-time Filmfare and Dadasaheb Phalke Award laureate has sung in every major Indian language.
