Maharashtra Best, UP Worst In Delivering Justice: India Justice Report

The India Justice Report 2020 has ranked Maharashtra as the best Indian state in delivering justice with a 5.77/10 score. Conducted in 18 states, the report revealed that 69% prisoners still await investigation and trial. Ranking on 53 indicators including prison staff and police, the report placed UP at bottom with a mere 3.15/10 score. An initiative of Tata Trusts, the report revealed that Kerala, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu underutilized video-conferencing facilities.
