Maharashtra: Chemical Gas Leak Causes Breathing Issues In Thane
Residents in Maharashtra's Thane district complained of breathing problems after a gas leak occurred at a chemical factory in Badlapur on June 3. Thane Municipal Corporation's official Santosh Kadam said, "A chemical reaction due to overheating of sulfuric acid and benzyl acid led to the accident." Following the incident, residents within 3 km of radius complained of breathlessness and burning sensation in eyes. However, no serious injuries have been reported.
