Maharashtra: Chief Secretary Writes to CM; Demands 50% Workforce in Govt Offices

Maharashtra's Chief Secretary Sanjay Kumar has requested CM Uddhav Thackeray to increase the workforce in government offices to 50% from the current 15% from September 1. Reportedly, Sanjay Kumar has suggested that, with just 15% staff, government offices are unable to function properly. While referring to the standstill in the functioning, an official said, “Allotting work or getting work done takes longer, because the [work] chain does not get completed."
