Maharashtra Health Department Issues Monkeypox Alert
The Maharashtra Government issues an alert amid the rising spread of monkeypox disease in the nation. After four confirmed cases of monkeypox in Kerala and Delhi, the Maharashtra Health Department directed the district administration to set up monitoring centres, ensuring testing and clinical management aiming for monkeypox prevention. The management also asked to identify and ensure adequate HR and logistic support to manage suspected/confirmed monkeypox cases.
