Maharashtra: Opposition Criticises Government For Delaying Financial Aid To Farmers Impacted By Floods
Opposition parties attacked Shinde Fadnavis's administration on August 18 for failing to provide immediate financial help to farmers and villages hit by severe rains and floods in Maharashtra. Ajit Pawar, leader of opposition in the state house, called for a special discussion, claiming while farmers were ignored, ministers were preoccupied with their felicitations, labeling the administration "insensitive." He warned the opposition would not rest until farmers were given relief.
