Maharashtra: Orange Alert Given to Mumbai & Nearby Cities, IMD Warns of Heavy Rainfall
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), on August 30, stated that Mumbai will have a cloudy sky with moderate to heavy rainfall. K S Hosalikar, Deputy Director-General of IMD tweeted, "Mumbai & around received 40-70 mm rainfall at most places...intense spells at few places in 24 hours". Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, Ratnagiri and Raigad have been warned with Orange Alert. The IMD Mumbai stated that the temperature on August 30 will fluctuate between 25°C- 29°C.
