Maharashtra School Teacher Bags $1 Million 'Global Teacher Award'
For innovative pedagogy and reducing the school drop-out rate, a Maharashtra school teacher Ranjitsinh Disale has been awarded 'Global Teacher Prize' with a cash award of $1 million. Interestingly, the 32-year-old teacher has incorporated QR codes while teaching. Disale has said that he would split the prize amount and use it to support teachers in rural areas. Reportedly, he has been awarded by the Varkey Foundation, which partnered with UNESCO.
