Maharashtra Universities To Stop Convocation Ceremonies
The Higher and Technical Education Department, Maharashtra has decided to cancel the graduation ceremonies from various universities in the state from the next academic year starting in June 2023. This decision came from the Higher and technical education minister Chandrakant Patil. Furthermore, students can access their degrees from their DigiLocker accounts. The minister said the practice of wearing robes and holding grand ceremonies will go away because as it's not necessary.
