Malayalam Poet Vishnunarayanan Namboothiri No More; PM Modi Condoles

Padma Shri awardee and acclaimed Malayalam poet Vishnunarayanan Namboothiri passed away in Kerala's Pathanamthitta district aged 81. Prime Minister Narendra Modi lamented the poet's demise on Twitter on February 25 and cherished him for his exceptional contribution to the world of culture and literature. Born in Thiruvalla, Vishnunarayanan was a celebrated pioneer of contemporary Malayalam literature, known for works that rendered the perfect mix of tradition and modernity.
