Mallikarjun Kharge Likely To Become Leader Of Opposition In Rajya Sabha

As Ghulam Nabi Azad's Rajya Sabha decades-spanning tenure officially ends on February 15, veteran Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge may become the Upper House's new Leader of Opposition. Endorsing the appointment, the Congress party has formally written to Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu in this regard. Mallikarjun Kharge is an accomplished Dalit leader from Karnataka who commanded and guided the Congress in the Lok Sabha from 2014 to 2019.
