Manipur Violent Assault: Opposition Delegation To Meet President, Demands Intervention
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge led the opposition delegation to meet with the President of India Droupadi Murmu to discuss the Manipur Violence. On August 2, the delegation visited Delhi, amid ongoing protests in Manipur and ethnic clashes and sought the intervention of the President of India. The opposition claimed that violence in the BJP-ruled northeastern state is continuing unabated. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court is also hearing the matter.
