'Mass Surrender' In Ukraine; 1,026 Ukrainian Troops Surrender To Russian Forces

About 1,026 Ukrainian troops from the Marine Brigade reportedly surrendered to Russia, on April 13. Russian Defense Ministry spokesperson Major General Igor Konashenkov confirmed the incident and said that the surrender happened at a metal plant in the besieged southeastern pot city of Mariupol. He further stated that the surrendered include 162 officers and 47 women personnel. Also, about 152 wounded troops were reportedly given treatment.
