Massive fire At Tamil Nadu's Cracker Factory, 11 Kills & 37 Injured
A firecracker factory in Tamil Nadu's Sivakasi went ablaze on February 12, leaving 11 dead and 37 injured. The eruption was a result of friction in manhandling chemicals, which caused critical burn to 26 people including four with 90% burns. Reportedly, five special medical teams have been deployed for the rescue. While the PM Modi announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2,00,000 for the deceased'd kin, the TN CM Palanaswami declared Rs 3,00,000 for the same.
