Maths, Physics In Class 12 Not Necessary For Engineering Course: AICTE

The All India Council for Technical Education has notified that aspiring engineering students would not necessarily require Mathematics and Physics in class 12 to apply for B.E. and B.Tech programmes. As per the AICTE's 2021-22 approval process handbook, students will instead need 45% scores in three out of a 14-subject list, including Computer Science and Business Studies among others. For this, it further provisioned that universities will extend befitting bridge courses for non-science stream students.
