Medical Tourism Resumes As 21 Patients From Myanmar Land In India
Medical tourism in India, which was derailed due to COVID-19 restrictions, is getting back on track as 21 patients from Myanmar arrived in New Delhi on February 5. "These patients were chronic cases of kidney, liver and cardiovascular diseases and have been waiting for organ transplants," stated New Delhi's Apollo Hospital. Reportedly, the patients were waiting for ease in travel restrictions as the surgical treatment they need is not widely available in Myanmar.
