Minister Ramesh Meets Students Virtually Ahead Of Upcoming Exams
Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank had held a live session addressing the students, teachers and parents on Twitter on December 10. The session has been conducted to resolve various dilemmas of the stakeholders about the 2021 board exams and the competitive exams conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), i.e. JEE Mains and NEET. Minister Ramesh has announced that the syllabus of CBSE has been reduced by 30%. He stated that an alternative method would be adopted for conducting CBSE practical exams if the situation remains the same. Moreover, the minister has proposed a reduction of up to 20% in the syllabus of competitive exams. While rejecting the idea of cancelling exams, Minister Ramesh said the students were contented with the decision of conducting NTA exams amidst the pandemic. He has also promised the students to reveal the exam schedule much earlier that may help students with their final preparations.
