Miss Panama Opens Door For Transgender Women To Contest
The Miss Panama organisation has decided to allow transgender participants for the beauty pageant from 2021 onwards. Welcoming transgenders who have undergone all medical and legal procedures, the decision was taken after deliberation among organisers. Miss Panama President Cesar Anel Rodriguez said the country's decision is a response to the Miss Universe regulation related to the transgenders. Panama has now joined the club of Spain, Nepal and Canada, the countries that allow transgender contestants.
