World Health Organization (WHO) released interim regulations on the spread of monkeypox, which include vaccine recommendations. It stated that mass vaccination against the monkeypox virus as a preventative approach is not suggested. "We are working with partners and experts from around the world on changing the name of monkeypox virus, its clades, and the disease it causes," WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus stated on June 14.
