MP HC Revokes NSA Against 4 Muslims, Fines State for Improper Detention
The Madhya Pradesh High Court withdrew National Security Act (NSA) charges against four Muslim men, who were booked by the Rajgarh Collector for allegedly 'carrying swords during a Muharram procession'. The HC also ordered the state government to pay Rs.10,000 per each case as legal-charges for improper detention of the accused. Reportedly, the petition by one of the accused’s brother showed that mandatory approval for detention was not undertaken for three cases.
