MP Home Minister Warns; Dabur Withdraws Ad Featuring Lesbian Couple

Dabur India Limited on October 25 withdrew its advertisement featuring two lesbian women celebrating the Hindu festival of Karwa Chauth. The development came after Madhya Pradesh's Home Minister Narottam Mishara warned the company against legal action saying, ''Tomorrow, they'll come up with an advertisement that shows two men getting married. We cannot allow...objectionable content.'' ''We unconditionally apologise for unintentionally hurting people's sentiments,'' said Dabur India.
