Mumbai Beats Delhi In IPL 2020 Final, Clinches Title For 5th Time
Mumbai Indians have clinched the IPL trophy for the fabulous record-extending fifth time by beating the Delhi Capitals in the final match of IPL 2020. Electing to bat first, Delhi got early setbacks as they were three down in the power play. However, with a fight back from 96-run partnership between Pant and Shreyas Iyer, Capitals were able to recover. While Pant scored 56 runs off 38 balls, Shreyas remained unbeaten on 65 off 50. Chasing 157 runs, Mumbai kicked-off well and after early loss of de Kock, Rohit (68 off 51) powered with Ishan Kishan (33 runs) to put Mumbai on winning path. Later, MI wrapped up the things with 8 balls remaining. For giving early dents to Delhi by taking three wickets, Boult was declared as the 'man of the final'. Looting up all, MI even secured the 'fairplay' award. At the concluding ceremony, Delhi's Kagiso Rabada was given 'Purple Cap' while Punjab's KL Rahul secured 'Orange Cap'.
