Mumbai: BMC Bans Firecrackers In Public, Allows Mild Crackers For Two Hours
Considering the Covid-19 situation, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has banned the bursting of fire crackers in public places. However, it has allowed soundless crackers like phooljhadi and anar from 8-10 pm. The Mumbai police and BMC will take strict action against anyone who violates the norms. To combat the spread of the virus, along with mitigating air pollution in the national capital, National Green Tribunal (NGT) has also ordered ban on firecrackers.
