Mumbai local train resume services after 2.5 months; to benefit 1.25 lakh staff

Mumbai local trains to resume services from June 15 for essential workers after almost 85 days since it last ceased operations due to Coronavirus imposed nationwide lockdown. This will benefit around 1.25 lakhs of essential staff. The capacity of the train has been reduced to 700 passengers to maintain social distancing as per defined protocols and standard operating procedures.
