Mumbai Man Dresses As Clown, Spreads COVID Awareness Among Children

Ashok Kurmi, a social worker in Mumbai, has been raising COVID awareness among children while dressing up as a clown, Santa Claus, Spiderman and cartoon characters for the past one year. Kurmi says, "Municipal workers wear PPE kits that scare slum dwellers, particularly children." Notably, Kurmi spends about Rs 15,000 monthly for purchasing the costumes, sanitisers and other necessary items. He vows to continue this until the COVID-19 is over.
