Mumbai Metro: Indigenous Driverless Train To Arrive On January 27
Maharashtra Urban Development Minister Eknath Shinde confirmed the arrival of Mumbai's first made-in-India driverless train. Manufactured by Bharat Earth Movers Ltd., the automatic train will reach Charkop Metro car shed on January 27. Following operational tests, the train will run on Metro 2A Dahisar to DN Nagar and Metro 7 Dahisar to Andheri East routes from May. Reportedly, the initial months will witness a motorman operating the train at 80kmph.
