Mumbai: One Held for Operating Portals Providing Fake Likes on Social Media

Mumbai Police on August 25 arrested a 45-year-old person for operating portals that provided fake followers, likes, views and subscribers for social media profiles. Mumbai Police's Special Investigating Team (SIT) told that the accused has completed about 25,000 orders resulting in lakhs of fake followers, views and likes. Reportedly, the SIT constituted for countering similar fraudulent issues has identified at least 79 such portals till now.
