Mumbai Police To Tighten Security By Installing More CCTV Cameras
To strengthen the current surveillance system, Mumbai Police have been planning to install three lakh closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras across the city. The police have collaborated with commercial establishments like hotels, community halls, shops, offices, religious places, and residential societies under the project. Reportedly, 7,000 cameras will be installed additionally to the existing 5,300 CCTV networks. Moreover, establishments who fail to install cameras before January 7 would be legally charged.
