Myanmar: Suu Kyi Appears In Court In Person For 1st Time Since Coup
Aung San Suu Kyi was produced before the court in person for the first time on May 24. Previously taken as a military prisoner, the ousted Myanmar leader was only allowed to contact her defending team via video calls. The hearing was focussed on the six charges she faced and two of them for violating COVID-19 norms during the election campaign, illegal use of walkie-talkies and unlicensed use of radio.
