National Wrestling Events Under SAI Scanner For Breaching Covid Norms
The Sports Authority of India was put on alert after reports of National Wrestling Championships at Noida flouting social distancing norms surfaced on January 24. Reportedly, the indoor stadium entertained hundreds of spectators by not following the Sports Ministry's eight-page Standard Operating Procedure issued on December 26, 2020. SAI Director-General Sandip Pradhan said, "we have also sought a report from the Federation on the alleged violation by Monday (January 25)".
