Navy Sailor Dies After Kidnappers Set Him On Fire In Maharashtra's Palghar

The Maharashtra Police on February 6 informed that the Navy sailor who died of burn injuries on February 5 was earlier kidnapped by three people outside Chennai Airport on January 31. The deceased, identified as Surajkumar Mithilesh Dubey, a native of Jharkhand, was abducted after he left for joining INS Agrani Coimbatore unit via Chennai. Reportedly, after demanding Rs 10 lakh ransom, the kidnappers set the 27-year-old on fire on a Palghar hillock.
