NCP leader Anil Deshmukh Resigns As The Home Minister Of Maharashtra
NCP leader Anil Deshmukh has resigned as the Home Minister of Maharashtra on April 5. Mumbai's former police commissioner Param Bir Singh accused Deshmukh of illegally pressurising police officers to collect Rs 100 crore monthly from bars and hotels in Mumbai. BJP in the opposition has been demanding his removal from the Maha Vikas Aghadi government due to the corruption charges against him. Bombay High Court has ordered a CBI probe into the matter.
