New map of Nepal passed in National Assembly

Nepal's National Assembly countersigns the New Map Amendment Bill, approves it

While no one voted against the New Map Amendment Bill (Coat of Arms), the Bill was unanimously cleared by the Nepal's upper house with 57 votes in its support, on June 18. The bill proposes to redraw Nepal's map to append some parts of the Indian territory. The house of Representatives of Nepal, the lower house had voted with more than the two-third majority, endorsing the bill.
