Netherlands Imposes Strict Lockdown Amid Global Omicron Scare
Netherlands imposed strict lockdown, in the view of COVID-19's new variant, Omicron. Starting from December 19, Schools, colleges, offices, non essential shops, restaurants and bars will remain shut until January 14, 2022. The Dutch Government, on December 18, released a notification, which read, "Netherlands is going into lockdown again from tomorrow". He further said that the move was 'unavoidable' as a fifth wave is ongoing in the region.
