New Elected President For Congress After State Assembly Polls
Congress Working Committee (CWC) has decided to conduct elections for the party's president post after a three-hour meeting chaired by current President Sonia Gandhi. Reportedly, the election will likely be held in June 2021, after various states' assembly polls that have been slated for summer. While asked about the CWC elections, AICC general secretary KC Venugopal said, "the practice is to hold president's election first and then the CWC election."
