New Variant Of SARS-CoV-2 Virus Does Not Cause Severe Symptoms

According to a research, the D614G variant of the SARS-Cov-2 virus, is not associated with a more severe form of COVID-19. The new variant is more infectious on the basis of cell cultures, but does not cause severe illness. In over a month the G614 variant overtook the D614G variant in severity and has been more dominant in Europe.
