The Department of Humanities at Presidency College conducted the 8th edition of its Annual Media Fest “Vrittanta” on July 1 - 2. Ms.Dhanya Rajendran, Editor-in-Chief of The News minute was invited as the Chief Guest. The theme of the fest this year was “Metamorphosis – Renew and Revive”, which signifies the transition that we all traversed through the course of the pandemic. In spite of all the odds that were thrown in terms of offline feasibility of events, the entire event was shifted to the online format without any hassles. Over 180 participants from 36 colleges across 18 cities in 11 states took part. However, a total of 10 events were conducted, namely Quiz, Public Relations, Memes, Photography, Improv, Poetry Slam, Debate, Art Parallel, Future Politician, and Personality. Moreover, the events met with an overwhelming response and the registrations were indeed on the higher scale among any other Media Fests in Bangalore Region.
